The Ninja and the Knight

They finally released some more new quests and armor on white knight. I managed to get my hands on the Shura set as well as a Lightwing bow. I also finally did my first rebirth. Went from 60 back to 80 again but this time more as a.melee mage then a pure mage. I use a bow this time instead of staff. Unfortunately the downside is I do less damage with elemental magic. (Yes I took a small break from ffxi to play wkc2 while Derek is back on R&R for 2 weeks then he goes away again till like June-Sept.) So nothing has really been happening on the ffxi front this past week. But I will be back to ffxi soon.

Oh yes, it happened.

Because Tace said he wanted picture proof that I broke 6k dmg with Drakesbane. (Note this was in Abyssea on Colibri with Apoc, RR, an VV atmas.)

Seeker of the Light

Its been a really eventful return to FFXI since my break. I’ve gotten quite a lot done for both Destiney and for Karigan. As well as helping others of course. ^^ Of course I had just come back to the game the day after of the latest version update. So I had a lot to catch up on since I haven’t played much since the update before this one.

Oh an to top everything off I finally got my FFXI soundtrack (and in-game spinet). So I have been listening to it a good bit.

Fall of the Ark Angels

Little over due for an update. XD Its definitely been over a month since my last post. c.c; Mostly because I haven’t been doing much on my pc lately. Including not playing much of FFXI.

Part of the reason is Netflix and Assassin’s Creed. I have played through the first three AC games an started the newest, Revelations. ^^ The series is definitely better then I thought an not as hard for me to play as I feared it would be. I rarely stray from the turn-based RPGs. Well there is the occasional Soul Calibur or Devil May Cry style beat em up games I play. Trying to play an Assassin is a bit of a change of pace since you can’t just speed through every mission. >.>; Cause some of them you can not be discovered or you desync… So you have to be more careful.

As far as FFXI goes though I haven’t done a ton. I did a few expansion missions with Rianon and Tace though. Partly because Kari needs them not me. c.c An partly to help Rianon get caught up on something. We are half way through ToAU now. Next fight is Puppet in Peril. That should be interesting.

I did 3/5 of the Ark Angels by myself for kitty. >.>; But when I reached the Elvaan she so haxes. I went 0/2 as a DNC95. She kept one-shotting me with Spirits Within. I so call bs on that Elvaan… Of course when Tace helped… >.> No one got killed… Gah~! BLU is so rotten. He didn’t get one-shotted as a BLU95 but my poor DNC did… >.> Not fair. Then Tannasg joined us for the fight in the Celestial Nexus. That fight was way too easy. Well other then I left kitty standing in a bad spot that she kept getting AoE’d on the kid’s first form. Oops… My bad.

I kinda want to go back to playing FFXI more then like once every other week. It just sucks when Rianon has to work when I can play or Tace is too busy with rl or other games to log on. I really don’t feel like playing by myself but I don’t really have anyone else on game to really pal around with. Everyone else on game has their own little groups or linkshells. =/ *sigh*

Well off to finish baking once I post the pictures. Putting them at the bottom cause I don’t feel like trying to really sort them today. I only woke up like an hour or two ago. XD

Tricks & Treats

 Not much has happened on the FFXI front. I have been working hard on my guild rank on White Knight and I have been busy with life off game an reading.

I haven’t quit FFXI though. Its just a small break. Need a break now an then. (Especially since I have been playing FFXI for 7 years.) I still play for events now an then. Like Salvage and Dyna. I still need to finish lvling a couple of my high lvls to 95. XD Cause I haven’t played alot since the update with the lvl increase. An no pictures cause half of the times I have logged in this month I have done from my xbox instead of my pc.

Hopefully I will have more to update with next time around. Happy Halloween~!

Two weeks and all I got was this crummy staff

Well no that title is not entirely true. c.c; It was just Tace’s idea pretty much. This post will be really bare. XD I don’t feel like posting right now but Tace is being a pest for me to update.

Finally finished with all my seals for head, legs, an feet for awhile. Though I really do need to update my pages. XD An that was before I left for 2 weeks. c.c Went on vacation with Rianon. <3 Was a good time. Been back a few days but I just haven’t touched my PC much an definitely haven’t been on FFXI till today. Been working on White Knight Chronicles 2 which came out a few days ago.

All we really did in game today before Tace had to leave was trial 810 (i think) for my smn staff for Garuda. I was most of the way done before I left for vacation. We finished it today.

Few more trials to go. But now I can make Garuda do all the work since she has to get the kill shots. An since Rianon is working an Tace is busy… Back to WKC2~!

Knight in Shining Armor

So I am yet again overdue for a posting. Partly because for a week in July I took a time off from FFXI to pursue some things I have long been neglecting to do. Plus taking a few days off from game to visit with Rianon as well. <3 So now its time to post an update. Granted prolly won’t have a ton of pictures since I have taken so much time off game. (An of course being sick right now ain’t gonna help my playtime any either. Being sick in the middle of summer sucks.)

First off before I move into FFXI stuffs, the other stuffs~! I managed to get a good deal of reading done in this last month. Finished several books actually. Including Dragon’s Oath and Goddess of Legend which I had bought both of them in July while I was up visiting Rianon. Now I am not much for Romance novels but the Goddess series by P.C. Cast…. /swoon. Modern world mortals, mixed with mythology. The Mythology in the series is what attracted me into reading them, wanting see how someone made the mythology stories into something more, something original an new. P.C. Cast does this so well. Definitely loved reading Goddess of Legend which takes place in the age of King Aurthur. Most of the Goddess series revolves around Greek Mythology though. Just finished Goddess of Legend about 1am this morning lol…

I also finished reading Black Veil from the Green Rider series. As well as Over Sea, Under Stone from The Dark is Rising series. Started reading The Dark is Rising an am about half way done. So overall its been a really good past month to get some series reading done. Which is good cause I got books just piling up. XD An the next in the House of Night series only month(s) away.

Game wise I haven’t quite made as much progress on my FFXI break. I did get through all of Ar Tonelico Melody of Elemia. An I started Ar Tonelico Melody of Metafalica. But then of course Dynasty Warrior Gundam 3 came out so that distracted me from Ar Tonelico. I have made good progress on DW Gundam 3 but not done with that either. XD

Another game that has snatched my attention just recently, Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst. Some friends on FFXI play on a free server an pointed me in the direction to get on it as well myself. OMG yay~! Now I finally get to experience Episode 4. Just wish I still had my old character instead of having to start out from level 1 Newman Force all over again. Its a bit hard at first starting out at level 1 force by yourself. =/ So getting to play Episode 4 gonna have to wait till I get higher in level. Right now Tsune is only level 6. Yes that’s right. Tsune lives once more. ^^ Well I also started a Newman Hunter named Destiney though as well lol. Though she is only level 2. I may make a Human Ranger named Karigan. Hehe just to round out my job choices. ^^

AdventureQuest Worlds had an awesome story arc last month. The Doomwood Saga. Had an awesome ending where you could choose how the end of the saga would go out of 4 options. Plus other small options within. And~! It was a 1 on 1 fight for the final boss stage. Not that I don’t mind multiplayer fights in the game now an then. I hate having to hope an rely that there will be people in that zone killing the boss. Especially since they redid the Paladin skills. Not sure I can solo some of the fights I could before the did the adjustments to the job. I’ll have to try an see or else level another job class. XD

Anime/Manga wise I haven’t really made much progress. Other then seeing most of the Gurren Lagann series. It is better then I thought it would be. After first few episodes I thought it was going to be a rather lame series. Now I have a few episodes left to watch an I do rather like the series. Though its not going to the top of my favorites or anything but it was worth watching.

An I finally got the see the last Harry Potter movie in theaters with my two movie day co-workers. Two weeks later. XD It was released while I was visiting Rianon an sold out for the first 4 days here in my city anyways. The week after the one girl’s mom kinda screwed us out of our planned movie day. So we finally got to go two weeks later. I was afraid they would butcher the movie (having read the last two books before the movies were released) but I think they did a pretty good job. Not saying it was perfect but at least they didn’t butcher the movie. Now we have to find other movies to go together to see now that the Harry Potter series is over.

The White Knight

Well overdue for an update once again. XD I just keep forgetting then I end up taking forever to make a post cause its about a month or so between updates. Geez. Guess I’ll start with the non-FFXI stuffs first. Get those over an done with instead of burying them beneath a ton of FFXI pictures an such. XD Had some technical issues with a plugin on my blog here which I had to fix the other day so I didn’t get  post done then when I was going to. Other week I made a new banner but I am not happy with it. I need to remake that as well. Plus I want to make an entirely new set of FFXI icons. A set with the empy armors featured but also my current modded head an not the old HQ one I had in use on my old PC. (My old PC’s graphics card had issues with the HQ mod cause the HQs tend to be such huge files.)

Lately I have cut back some on my FFXI game play. Just getting a bit bored in FFXI recently so I picked up a few other things I have been meaning to do instead. One of which is the fourth book in the Green Rider series, The Blackveil. (http://www.kristenbritain.com/books/GreenRider.html) Poor Karigan. Things just get more an more complicated for her in each new book. (This being the Karigan I named my Mithra after.) Forbidden love, dangers galore, an unraveling even more ancient mysteries. *squee* So totally loving this book series. Sadly there isn’t a release date yet for the fifth book though. Not even a title announcement yet. The suspense is going to be so evil. XD (Well till November anyways when the fourth Eragon book comes out! *squee*) How I have missed getting lost in a good book. ^^

I have been watching all the Slayers anime series stuff Netflix has available for streaming. (Sadly which does not have the OVAs in either disk or streaming atm. The disks are in the Saved section cause they don’t know when or if they will become available again…) I am up to Slayers Evolution-R episode 10. ^^ <3 This series is so much fun to watch. An of course my favorite couple is Gourry & Lina. Xellos drives me nuts. Not to mention he seems to be the only character who didn’t keep his original voice actor in the gap between Slayers seasons. I liked his original voice better then the actor who plays him in Revolution & Evolution-R. I am going to watch the second season of Orphen after I finish Slayers. Then maybe go finish Trinity Blood.

Game wise I finished the story levels on Little Big Planet. With some online help from other players though. I had trouble getting past the Bunker level in the final chapter. Though now I need to go back through an try to finish collecting the items. But sadly most of that requires some help. Cause many of the levels you need friends or other players to help with the x2-4 sack person areas that contain collection items. Hard to find people willing or smart enough to go get the items in those sections. So I put that game down in favor of White Knight Chronicles. With the second game only months away (as long as everything goes well an they dun push the date back…) I decided to brush up on the New Game+ story as well as try for level 50 an maybe some more Guild Rank levels since I am only rank 5. But sadly I need to go an unlock places again in the story now that I started a New Game+. XD (<3 So totally love the opening theme to the game. I even bought the soundtrack for it a long while back. Which I am listening to right now.)

Now onto the FFXI updates. (After I went through my screenshots to find the right ones I want… XD) I don’t think I am really going to put these in any real order this time around though. Not really feeling like it.

Shining Star

Well I guess I am overdue yet again for a big update. I just get too distracted to do weekly updates like I would like to. XD Would be so much easier. Less to try to remember to put into a post. Can’t really count that little blurb of a post the night I got my w.legs for my RDM. But I got lots more to update with this time around~! I promise.

Yes it is that time of year yet again~! It is FFXI’s anniversary! 9 years an still going. Lovely new outfit for the ladies. A more tux looking outfit for the gentlemen. <3 Time for the yearly stats! (Destiney on the Left. Karigan on the Right. Karigan hasn’t been around even close to the years Destiney has. Hence the rather low stats.)

That is this year’s stats. Now for last year’s stats! (Again Destiney on the Left. Karigan on the Right.)

I also have stats for Kari & Dest for 2008. Then stats for Dest for 2007. But I dun think I need to really upload those too. Dest has been around for 4 years longer then Kari. Since the earliest adventure stats I have for Kari are from 2008. One of my 2 GM calls was back when I got stuck in the enterance to Delkfultt cause the cs didn’t load. The second time was a GM Call on Medwyn for an MPK. I actually have stats for some of my mules. XD Including a few that no longer exist. Silvermaiden (named after a character from Suikoden III), Misao (named after a character in an anime), an Ochi (named after a character in Samurai Warriors though the spelling may not be accurate) are long gone. I still have Dest (short version of my main character’s name), Dohwa (named after a character in the King of Hell manga), an Yahiko (named after a character in an anime). An Nebby (my old online nickname) joined the mule ranks later on. Karigan (named after the lead character in the novel Green Rider) was fall/winter 2007 hence why she didn’t have stats till 2008.
